The Shop at the Barn

The mission of Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is to nurture the creativity of local artists by providing a place to showcase and sell their work, and to bring regional fine and folk art to the public. Items sold in the shop are either made by regional artisans, are about the Palouse or are made from products of the Palouse. A wide range of work from nearly 100 artists is represented at the shop.

The Shop at the Barn is operated by Julie Hartwig. She managed the Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts and History gift shop for 8 years in Lewiston prior to opening the retail space in Uniontown August 2006. Hartwig is experienced in exhibit installations, organizing events and fund raisers and catering, so is an important member of the team which promotes the work of regional artists and craftspeople at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn.
