Featured this month is a group of 8 women who share the Fiber Fusion studio: Jill Anton, Ginny Clark, Ellen Kundrat, Paula Lahti, Connie Lorenz, Andi Petrusky, Marie Shinneman and Jen Whitted.Group profile:…a quote from Maureen Noble, author and fiber artist: “There are no rules in quilting.” This describes well the work of the eight artists who make up the entity that is “Fiber Fusion.” What originally brought us together was a common interest in exploring non-traditional quilting options. Each one of us has our own areas of interest and comfort within the fiber world and stretching the bounds beyond. Quilting, dyeing, painting, embellishment with numerous objects, fabric distortion, felting, are but a few of the techniques used.
