A planned giving program allows those who wish to pledge a portion of their estate to the Dahmen Barn Foundation in advance. Such gifts will ensure the future of the Dahmen Barn and its place in the Palouse art world.Donations of cash, real property or future income from investments or other similar holdings are gratefully accepted. Donors may specify a percentage of their estate, a specific amount, or the residue of their estate. For example, a local farmer recently left the net proceeds from a specific portion of her farm ground over the next 40 years to a local non-profit.Donors may stipulate how they would like their funds used at the Dahmen Barn:~ a capital improvement project constructing an addition to provide a larger classroom space and studios for artists requiring larger spaces and space for the display of agricultural implements, restoration of the silo, or improving the parking areas.~ ongoing maintenance and operations~ art education: for the public such as providing for scholarships for classes or to bring a visiting artist from outside the area to the barn; for the resident artisans to enable them to enroll in classes and workshops to enhance their skills; or scholarships or materials for kids' art classes; or funds to enable school children to come to the Barn for a creativity experience. ~ other creative ideas are welcomedDonors are encouraged to consult their estate planner or attorney for appropriate language.Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is now an official 501(c)3 non-profit separate from the Uniontown Community Development Association. Donations may be made to Artisans at the Dahmen Barn Foundation at P O Box 36, Uniontown WA 99179.
