I was introduced to quilting by my daughter in 1996. She gave me a quilt book and together we started quilting. I used patterns to start with but was always changing them to fit my needs. It didn't take long for me to start working on art quilts. I took many classes from different fiber artists at the Houston Quilt show. Fiber art and altered art were my passion for a few years. I was introduced to the word STEAMPUNK by a friend in Seattle at his little Antique Junk store. Since I had been hunting and gathering odd found objects for a long time, my version of Steampunk art was an easy transition. Whimsical and fun, it is a great way to add all elements of different fibers, rust, and ephemera.
