Artisans at the Dahmen Barn was conceived to bring exposure to regional visual artists, craftspeople and performing artists through a carefully developed marketing program.
Rent Studio Space
Studios are located on the ground floor, the second floor and in a small accessory building just outside the Barn. More studio space will be available when the addition is complete.
Included in the rent: access 24 / 7, water, sewer, garbage, heat, lights, janitorial of the common area, use of the small kitchen, use of classroom space for instruction, a web page for each resident artist where products may be for sale and promotion of the facility and its programs. Studio spaces may be shared by more than one artist. The studio must be staffed at least 8 hours each week during the open hours of the facility and the public be allowed to learn about the artist’s creative process.
We maintain a waiting list for studio space, and want to have a wide variety of mediums in the artisan center. Contact Barn manager Leslee Miller at 509-229-3655 or email@example.com for studio rental information.
Classes and workshops for adults and children are scheduled throughout the year, typically on weekend days. The instructor designs the class — topic, duration, start and stop times, minimum and maximum number of students, age group, and the class fee the instructor requires per student. A % is added to cover the Barn’s cost to handle registrations and set up the space, then the Barn puts the class on the website calendar and does publicity. The instructor is responsible for clean up.
A summer program for children aged 6 to 12 is held each year, where on six consecutive Thursday afternoons, two brief topics are taught to two age groups of kids. Each instructor teaches the same topic twice each day.
Contact Barn manager Leslee Miller at 509-229-3655 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on teaching classes.
Several special events are held each year at the Barn:
Sell work on consignment in The Shop at the Barn. This is handled by the shop proprietor, Julie Hartwig. Please contact her at 509-229-3414 or email@example.com.
Have your work exhibited. Exhibits are planned by Julie Hartwig, who operates The Shop at the Barn. Please contact her at 509-229-3414 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in exhibiting.
Concerts by musicians and other types of performing artists are scheduled at the Barn, some outdoors during good weather.
