Jennifer WhittedJennifer Whitted, Uniquely Jen Quilt Creations
Quilting art is my passion. I create unique original designs inspired by nature, color, fabric and images that "appear" from paints and thread work.
I started quilting using traditional patterns and techniques. However, my vision was to quilt beyond the flat surface and I soon began to explore three-dimensional elements in my quilting by manipulating fabrics, yarn, beads, threads and silk floral to create unique elements.
My usual way to start a creation is with an idea I have in my head. I do not draft, I just start laying out the elements and begin the creation. My favorite work is to create floral or landscape scenery quilts, but recently I have been developing more collages and abstract creations.
As you view my work, I hope you will enjoy my choice of color and feel the love I put into each creation.
