Artist statement-
While attending the University of Idaho, in pursuit of her BFA, Tracy took every art class she could: ceramics, collage, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, and of course, textile surface design. While fabric and fibers are now her primary art medium, she has recently been experimenting with abstract compositions, making use of collage, watercolor, and cold wax medium and oil paint. Textile surface design is still her first and fullest love, from batik to free-motion machine quilting—she is excited by the element of surprise - hooray for happy accidents!
